We Always wanted to know how the purge got started..The First Purge takes place in Staten Island the new government regime conducts an experiment which is completely voluntary; if you stay on island during the purge you receive an incentive as well as if you participate in the Purge. You have Dmitri (Y’lan Noel) who is a local drug dealer and his crew, that want to protect their neighborhood from purgers. You also have Nya (Lex Scott Davis) who is guardian to her troublesome younger brother Isaiah (Joivan Wade) and she is also a local activist against the Purge. The acting was decent, always good to get fresh faces some exposure. The Plot was good and stayed on course to what the movie was about. Really entertaining & thrilling movie to watch; not as gory as the previous Purge movies. Definitely worth watching!!!
