Canal Street takes place in Chicago; Jackie Styles (Mykelti Williamson) & his son Kholi Styles move into a upscale neighborhood from the inner city. Things are going well until Kholi is arrested for the murder of one of his classmates and is being prosecuted by Prominent District Attorney AJ Canton (Mekhi Phifer). Jackie Styles is a defense attorney and takes on his son’s case to vindicate him. Canal street is filled with different perspectives, faith, and numerous cameo’s from well known celebrities like Rickey Smiley & The breakfast Club. Superb Acting by Bryshere Y Gray it was refreshing to see him play in a different role and he was great, the supporting cast also did a great job. This film is powerful and filled with messages for all perspectives; A MUST SEE!!!!!
